Red Clover has been grown for centuries in pastures to feed cattle and grazing animals. It is derived from the same plant family as Alfalfa. Alfalfa sprouts and Red Clover sprouts look very similar and have the same growing characteristics. Spot the difference: Sprouted Red Clover leaves are a slightly lighter green colour than those of Alfalfa.
